Our range includes Standard Tape Wound Type CT'S, ABS Moulded Tape CT's, Rectangular CT's, Resin Cast CT's, WPL CT's, Core Balance CT's and CT For Earth Fault Relay. We also provide Higher Rating transformers and two type of current transformers viz. Instrument Transformers and Protection Transformers (also known as protective and relay transformers.). The instruments transformers are entirely different and incompatible from the protection transformers in many aspects. The former transformers have to be within a range of 1% or 5% to 120% of the rated current as per the international standard and must reach saturation at a given multiple of the rated current (normally 5 or 10 times I ) to protect connected appliances from overloads currents. On the other hand, the later transformers must maintain transformation ratios at the rated current (10, 15, 20 or 30 times I ). The instruments transformers are manufactured in accurate classes of 0.1, 0.2S, 0.2, 0.5S, 0.5, 1 and 3 and hence, are widely used in the power station sector and various industries for measuring, monitoring and controlling electrical outputs. The protection transformers are manufactured in class X (BS 3938 & IS 2907) and are used in the connection with protective relays for over current and differential protection for relay purposes. These transformers have limited measuring accuracy at normal current but the measuring accuracy must be maintained up to several times the rated current.
